Manukau:  A great place to be!

Manukau offers so many possibilities, with activities and attractions to suit any taste! Rest and relaxation, golf, beautiful countryside, family attractions and entertainment or messing about on the water.  Choose from the menu on your left. 

Manukau is jam-packed full of great activities and attractions!

With beautiful gardens, vineyards and dining, Manukau is a great place to unwind.  Garden lovers can also visit the renowned Auckland Botanic Gardens.

Golf lovers will also find Manukau bursting with fantastic golf courses, in stunning rural and city surroundings.  One of the most notable is Formosa Country Club, listed in the 'Finest Golf Clubs in the World', and is an international PGA standard course.  Another well-known course is The Grange, within the urban area.

Manukau is framed by the ocean, so opportunities for nautical fun on the water abound!

Retail therapy is never far from hand either – with everything from urban shopping centres to rural craft boutiques, plus an eclectic range of village markets.

If it’s heritage and culture you’re interested in, then Manukau won’t disappoint!  Polynesian capital of New Zealand, Manukau is a melting pot of European, Pacific Island and Asian cultures.

And of course, there’s no shortage of family fun – Rainbow’s End and Butterfly Creek just two of the world-class attractions you will find in Manukau.

Remember:

 

  • Just 5 minutes from the airport and you can be in countryside.
       
  • Just 25 minutes drive (or take the ferry) and you can be in Auckland City
      
  • Just 25 minutes east and you will be in the beautiful Clevedon Valley - a haven of boutique vineyards, food  and country activities
     
  • Travel from your Manukau base to other destinations such as the Coromandel, Rotorua or Taupo. You can also take a domestic flight to Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown etc.
