Howick Village

The village of Howick lies just over 20 kilometres by road south east of Auckland.   It can also be reached by a pleasant ferry ride from Auckland City to Half Moon Bay and a short connecting bus link to Howick.   The village-like town centre has a cosmopolitan ambience with its pavement cafes, restaurants and numerous small shops.   Howick is blessed with many breathtakingly beautiful beaches and in earlier times was the seaside destination for Aucklanders.

While in Howick, have a look out for examples of Wall Art in the Village.

Each Saturday, the Howick Village Market takes place from 8.00 am to 12.30 pm - outside the Howick Information Centre - with a wide range of stalls from baked delights, vegetables & eggs, chocolates and much, much more.

Not to be missed!

The story of Howick is told through its many historic buildings.
